Drylock Begins Construction on Brazil Plant

Investment includes machinery and distribution center

Earlier this month, Drylock Technologies officially started the construction of its third plant in Brazil, with a symbolic ceremony in Capivari, São Paulo. The event marked the placement of the first stake on a 215,000 square meter plot, signaling the company’s commitment to growth and continuous investment in the Brazilian market.

The expansion project in Brazil includes, in its first phase, the construction of a factory over 30,000 square meters, which will house new high-tech machinery and a distribution center. The initial investment is valued at €24.5 million, covering both construction and equipment. It will be Drylock’s 11th factory worldwide and its third in Brazil and has the potential to become the group’s second-largest facility once completed.

“I am very proud to be here at the start of the construction of our new factory, the third in Brazil. The foundation started today, and it’s already a success, thanks to this whole team who organized and made this day possible. This expansion project will make Drylock even stronger in the Brazilian baby and adult diaper market,” CEO Bart Van Malderen said during the ceremony.

The new plant project also includes a space where a Drylock grove will be cultivated, similar to the Drylock forest created at the Segovia plant in Spain, underlining the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Drylock initially announced the investment in June 2024.
